Join acclaimed South Australian chef, food writer and 2026 South Australian Senior Australian of the Year nominee Rosa Matto for a richly layered culinary journey from Spain to Venice to Turkey. 

This is a cook’s tour through the markets, kitchens and shared tables of Europe. Inspired by Rosa’s decades of travel and leading immersive food tours throughout the Mediterranean, this hands-on class explores how regional markets and tapas bars shape the dishes we cook and the stories we tell. From lively Spanish bustling mercados, to Venetian bacari plates and vibrant Turkish bazaar flavours, you’ll prepare a series of authentic recipes that capture the character of each place. Throughout the hands-on tuition, Rosa shares the cultural insights, techniques and big stories gathered along the way — the ingredients to seek out, the traditions behind the dishes and the lessons learned at family tables. Then we sit and dine together on the feast you’ve created. A journey through flavour, culture and craft.
